Second Round Video Submissions - Due 1/16/26
Directors with students who have made the cut for the 2nd Round audition will be notified some time after all 1st Round District auditions have concluded, and scores have been sent from the DHB Organizers to the SGRHB Organizers. These students will record additional audition videos for their 2nd Round submission.

All wind players will record their Lyrical Etude, as well as their Quick Study Etude once it is released. Percussionists will record the bracketed portions of their Snare and Timpani Etudes, and will have a Mallet Quick Study Etude.​​

Important note: The 2nd audition for the SGRHB is separate from and not connected to the GMEA Final All-State Band audition. This is a separate audition for a different event.
Video recording instructions
Students must be clearly visible in the video. There must be nothing that can identify the school which the student attends (including clothing, posters in your band room, other signage, etc). We must be able to see the students hands, face, and complete instrument.

Make sure to test for audio quality and clarity prior to recording the full audition.

At the beginning of the video, students must state their name, grade, instrument, and what they are playing (i.e. Lyrical Etude or Quick Study Etude).

After recording, all videos must be uploaded as an UNLISTED YouTube video, and the link will be uploaded to the appropriate Google Form above. Each video must be titled in the following format:

It is the Band Director's responsibility to ensure that the correct student is in each video, that the student is performing the correct etude, AND that the video and sound are working properly. Additionally, each video MUST be titled in the correct format.
Please remember that the only students who need to submit a video are students who have both been REGISTERED and HAVE PAID for Region Band, and have also MADE THE CUT after their 1st Round District Audition. Students who do not meet this criteria will not have their videos submitted to be judged.
